Art and Woodwork is a design, fabrication and installation company specializing in high-quality fabrication projects with an emphasis on furniture, millwork and design collaboration. We work with contractors, designers, architects, homeowners and fine artists to achieve specific quality results. We are experienced in all materials, finishes and processes, wood species, veneers, metals, plastics and adhesives.

We have built or managed projects for McDonnell-Douglas, Dreamworks SKG, Warner Studios, The Getty Center, The Huntington Library, The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, The Mark Taper Theater, The Music Center, Gemini GEL, Rios Clemente Hale Studios, the Hollywood Burbank Airport, The Disney Company, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others.

We have built millwork, casework and furniture for the finest homes in Los Angeles; worked with noted artists Ellsworth Kelly, Isamu Noguchi, Norman Sunshine, Richard Rowley, Richard Serra and Ed Keinholz; worked on art projects by artists Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauchenberg, Jonathan Borofsky, Mike Kelly, Robert Therrien and Alexander Calder; with noted architects Quincy Jones, Mark Rios, Joe D’Urso, Frank Clemente, Julie Smith Clemente, Fernando Vasquez; and color expert Donald Kaufmann.

Awards and Recognition:

  • Representative work published in Art and Architecture Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, Vintage Guitar Magazine, Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, Living etc. Kids Magazine, Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine and Sound and Vision Magazine.
  • Partnered with Rios Clemente Hale studios and Carlson and Company on Glendale Chess Park, winner of the ASLA National Honor Award for 2006 as well as the ASLA/SCC Honor Award, the AIA/LA Public Open Space Award and the LABC Architectural Award for Civic Space.
  • My company did the casework for the renovation of the Mark Taper Theater at the Los Angeles Music Center, winner of the LA Business Council Award for 2009 and the Los Angeles Conservancy Award.
  • The Hollywood Bowl Museum was awarded the Hollywood Arts Council Award for Architectural Arts in 1998.
  • Worked with and served on the board of Carlson and Company, a firm that specialized in large scale art and design fabrication projects all over the world.
